Organic Thyme Thymus vulgaris
Compact with long lasting flowers. Thyme is often used to flavour meats, soups and stews. Thyme is added early in cooking so that its oils have time to be released. Choose a site with full sun (Zones 4-9) and well-drained, preferably dry soil with plenty of organic matter in the soil to ensure good drainage. Clip foliage and flowers anytime you need them. The more you cut, or even shear back, the more the plants will grow.
The seeds are small, so cover them very lightly when planting. Place them in a warm place and the seedlings will emerge in week or so. When the plants are about 4″ high and the danger of all frost has passed, they can be moved outside to their final position.
