Such an easy plant! The Spice Cactus comes from a family that consists of 60 members. Most of them grow on the American continent. Only one member has been adventurous enough to travel all the way to Asia and Madagascar. The Spice Cactus is an epiphyte, which means that its roots cling to tree branches or other plants, but do not parasite on them. Your Spice Cactus actually is a cactus without prickles. When the stems are still young they show small hairs (which in fact are the prickles) that fall off as the plant gets older. Fortunately it is easy to trim Rhipsalis: just cut off the tendrils.
