Cinnamomum zeylanicum. A number of trees in the Cinnamomum genus produce cinnamon but the finest comes from this plant the: Cinnamomum zeylanicum. The Cinnamomum zeylanicum comes from Sri Lanka formerly known as Ceylon, hence the name zeylanicum. Cinnamon sticks are the dried bark from branches of this tree, the leaves have a strong scent of cinnamon and have medicinal oil qualities. This tree makes an excellent container tree when grown indoors or in the greenhouse. Grows up to 30 feet. Zone 9b-11. You will be receiving 1 plant between 3 & 8 inches in a 3 inch deep pot.
